Battlestar Galactica and Schmap  0

Tuesday (or Friday if you live in the US) sees the last episode of Battlestar Galactica before the mid-series break, the resumption of which we’ll have to wait until at least 2009 for (why, Dog, why?!?).

Anyway, most fans (me included) are expecting some kind of cliff-hanger in the form of:

  • revealing who the final cylon is;
  • the fleet and/or cylons reaching Earth;
  • one or many characters dying;
  • all of the above.

There are many theories as to who the final cylon is, many of them perfectly believable, but I want to go on record as saying the I think it’s either Felix Gaeta or Zak Adama. I’m not listing my reasons, but suffice to say that either one of those two makes me think “Hmm, yes!” I will also say that I’m willing to bet large amounts of cash on it being neither President Roslin nor Admiral Adama. Again, no reasons just a feeling.

After watching the final pre-break episode (in which the identity of the final cylon was not revealed), giving it some more thought and reading what Jason Kaneshiro and Mike wrote in the Battlestar Galactica room on FriendFeed I am convinced that Felix Gaeta is the final cylon.

And I finally heard back from the managing editor of Schmap regarding my photo they were considering using and the news is good: it was included! Hurrah! You can see it by going to the page on Schmap, selecting “Weston-super-Mare Beach and Grand Pier” from the list in the centre column and then you’ll see the photo in the top right-hand corner.
