A while back I did some bitching and moaning about not being able to use Finder’s smart folders for doing backups. A quick recap, minus the whinging: I wanted to be able to label files with colours and have them copied to my iDisk using an Automator workflow. I tried … and failed. So I cobbled together an alternative solution marking files with Spotlight comments instead of colours. It did the job, but not the way I wanted. But now someone has, at last, written the one action for Automator that I’ve been waiting for all along. - The Ouch Podcast

The other day I installed the Mac OS X 10.4.6 update and, as usual, didn’t pay a blind bit of notice to what it was actually fixing or updating, so it wasn’t until I saw a picture on Flickr that I realised that they’d added a load more phones to iSync support list, including my Nokia 6021. - Get your morning news with Automator

Being a creature of habit I like to get up in the morning, wash and get dressed, have some coffee, eat my breakfast and then sit myself in front of my iMac with another coffee and catch up on all the news that’s broken since I hoisted myself into bed 11 hours earlier - I check my email, read my news feeds and then check a few websites along with my customers sites to make sure every thing’s ticking over nicely. - The bandage is off!

Today Linda, one of the district nurses, took the bandage off my right foot for the last time - I am officially healed.
