I’m a sucker for changing the icons on my iMac - I find a set I like, install them and then get bored after about a fortnight and change them to something else. This set by David Lanham, however, has been on my desktop for at least two months. - Catching up

I was over-joyed to catch up with an old friend today, Jo, and when I say “old” I mean “known for quite a while”, not elderly. - Blocked

When N told me that she couldn’t think of a suitable present for my birthday, she suggested I buy something myself and she’d give me the money to pay for it, so I ordered a Griffin PowerMate. - Today

Well, today’s my big day: my birthday. I came into this world 33 years ago today, 4 weeks and 6 days overdue (I should’ve been born on Valentines Day!); I was cold, wet and hungry - then someone slapped me and it all went downhill from there … - “Sanctuary” by Simon Webbe

Readers from Europe may know Simon Webbe as one of the members of former boy-band Blue - they split up some time in the not-to distant past and each seems to be trying to make it as a solo artist/TV presenter/reality TV star. - An early birthday present

I’ve mentioned my new bed on more than one occasion on here (what do you mean I haven’t shut up about it?) so I thought it was time to take a few pictures to show you its loveliness. Unfortunately, because of its size and where it is in my room (i.e. the middle) I couldn’t get back far enough to get it all in one frame, and my attempts at a panoramic shot failed miserably. I’ve suddenly realised (about 6 months after everyone else … as usual) that this place has gone to shit. I’m quite chuffed with the makeover, but the latest slew of entries seem like my brain is just leaking crap onto the keyboard. - So, what do you think?

After possibly the least stressful update I’ve ever experienced — all changes are initial ideas, i.e. I didn’t deliberate — we have a new look. - I’m getting itchy fingers

I’ve decided that I’m going to put all this time I’ve got on my hands to good use and redesign this place. Again. But, this time I’ll put more effort into it (i.e. more than the usual 10%) and, once it’s finished, I’ll leave it alone for at least nine months - My second night …
