I started listening to Orbital back in about 1997 after hearing a friend play a 12” version of The Box - I liked what I heard, so I bought In Sides on CD. Many, many plays later it still remains one of my favourite chill-out albums. - It’s a small world

Bit of a cliché, that, but it’s true. - Glider

This is the first game I ever played on a Mac, many years ago at a mate’s house. It’s one of those games that’s very basic in concept but is incredibly addictive and infuriating in equal amounts. The premise is that you control a paper aeroplane in a house populated by obstacles, warm air vents, candles, switches and various other devices. - “iDrives” icon set

It’s not often I consider changing my system icons because I really like the standard Aqua style, but these drive icons are quite a nice alternative - different but still similar enough to fit in without me having to change the rest to match. - MenuCalendarClock

I registered this excellent little app after using it for less than a week - it just so happened that it was a busy week for me and the reminders and notes this app provided me with helped me to stay on track. - Bloody adverts!

I don’t minds adverts in a newspaper. I don’t mind adverts between TV programmes. I even don’t mind adverts on a website. I do, however, mind adverts when they appear slap-bang in the middle of work I’m trying to do. - Bring out yer dead

The lurgy is in town. A head cold - sore throat, blocked sinuses, sneezing, coughing etc. - is making its way around N’s family. The people who have succumbed so far (named in relation to N) include: a nephew, a brother-in-law, a sister, another brother-in-law, another sister, her mum (who’s elderly and is now being looked after at our house) and now N herself. Un-super. - BurnoutMenu 2.0

I am forever thinking of things I need to do before a certain time or date and then completely forgetting to do so. I’ve always needed to create a list of things that need doing to keep myself on track and after reading many of the comments on ‘What’s in your menubar?’ in the hicksdesign journal I found what seems to be the ideal app for me: BurnoutMenu. - Spring is on the way

After the recent spell of snow and cold weather (I hate cold weather) I’ve tried to cheer myself up the easiest way I know how: changing my desktop wallpaper. - Who’s watching?

I’d never really considered what browsers people were using to view this site. I do try and check how it looks in various browsers when I make any layout changes, but I’d never thought about percentages. After reading Interesting Stats on CreativeBits I thought I share my own browser statistics. - Gravel
